I’m sure we’ve all seen the emails….some claiming Obama is the Antichrist, others claim that he has plans to change the nations national fruit to watermelon, as well as change other well known American symbols to all things Islamic. They are good for a quick laugh and then I click delete. But satirical humor aside…..are we ready? Sure, we’ve had black leaders run for office before: Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, but come on, did anyone really think they had a chance? Now today, in 2008, we have an extremely strong candidate that could possibly pull it off, but what will it mean? Yes, I know it will be a groundbreaking, historical moment! But then what? Will it mean the positive changes that Obama rallies for in his speeches for not just African-Americans but all Americans. Is he the best candidate? Does he get the minority vote because he is black? Is he a strong enough candidate to hold the fate of the free world in his hands? Can we get past all the pomp and circumstance and hype about his race and focus on his beliefs, his strategy? Or will we be more concerned with his being a black man and show favoritism just to show “the man” that we can do it too?

In the words of my homey Obama "YES WE CAN" be ready for the Black Revolution because it will NOT be Televised!!!!
I was a Obama fan until I learned about a candidate who did not get media support... Dr. Ron Paul... I dare you to google and youtube him...
Thanks for the comment, but you are daring the wrong person. I supported Ron Paul for president.. You might want to contact all of your friends and family to make them aware of Ron Paul... Are you coming to St Paul Minn Sept 2nd?
